Attractive & Convenient, But Not a Miracle-Worker July 3, 2010 Robert Szarka (Norwich, CT USA) I used this antenna to replace the cheap dipole that came with my stereo receiver in hopes of clearing up spotty reception on a few of my favorite stations. I didn't expect miracles, but I was disappointed that there was only marginal improvement in the clarity of two stations.
Still, the Terk FM+ is better than the dipole is two ways: it's much better-looking and it takes up less space. If you don't want to spend more on a better-performing antenna, it's a decent value for the price. It even includes an adapter for those without a coax input on their receiver, which might save you a few bucks.
Better looking than wire dipole July 1, 2010 Neuroman (Massachusetts, USA) It gets no better reception than a twin lead dipole antenna but it looks better and allows more flexible placement.
I never received the product! June 4, 2010 Stephanie P. Penkunas 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I never got the product so how would ZI know? I am still waiting for it... so right now, I would give it a zero.Terk FM Only Stereo Antenna FM+
Didn't work for us May 11, 2010 Mom to be (Long Island, NY) This antenna didn't work for us. We have two small stereos that had mild static using the cheap dipole antennas that came with them. So we wanted to upgrade to a small but better antenna to get our favorite stations in consistently without static. This antenna made the static worse on both stereos. Would have returned if we hadn't already dumped the packaging. Wish I knew why it worked so well for other users. The connection to each stereo was solid and moving the antenna around the room didn't help the reception.
Don't buy it April 23, 2010 Z. Yu (San Diego, CA USA) It works just like a piece of wire, not even worth my time to send it back.
