 Good, inexpensive, removable CB antenna June 26, 2010

Purchased for use with a Midland 75-822, this antenna significantly extends the range of the CB.
It seems well-built and reliable.

Although I didn't purchased this antenna from Amazon, I will rate it here; I use it with a Midland 5001z (purchased from Amazon) cb radio and it works great, though I didn't used a SWR meter to calibrate it, I have a good reception, I can hear the truckers from the middle of the city while they were far away on the highway.

Got this antenna because I didnt want to use a tall antenna on my pickup. The SWRs are 1 on ch1 to ch40 after tunning. Cant expect much from a 3ft antenna but I am happy with this one and the price is right.

Do not have good radius with this antenna, may work well if your driving by a truck stop or something but not good if you want to talk to someone more then a mile away.

Ordered the antenna and was missnig the bottom section of it to screw into the base. I was told I would could get a 20% discount since it's defected, but hows that going to help me if I can't use it. I would suggest spending that extra ten bucks and guarantee all of your parts. Just sharing my personal experience.
