For a rabbit ear antenna, this item is light weight and goes almost anywhere. It picks up every HD signal within the broadcast area and clearly when completely extended. Can't be beat for the price.

It at least looks nice. I live in a suburb and I don't know if it's where I live or the device, but I could only get 2 of the 12 digital channels in the area. The only thing it did better than what I have is when I hooked it up to my computer's HD/digital coax, the radio stations were clearer than they've ever been. If you want to listen to radio, I guess that's a plus.

I bought this device to help bring in any stations locally. I live in a rural part of the state and there isn't much in the way of signal to be had. It did pick up three PBS stations initially but only once so far. Due to the geography of my home, I suspect an outdoor antennae will have to be used. Worked great though when it did capture signal.
Just as good as any, like an HD cable if you pay more you are going to waste money. March 16, 2010

I was quite happy with this antenna; it's really slim (if not for the fact that you will have two giant antennas sticking out from it). You can mount it on your wall which was the route I took, but if not a metal arm is in the back that will bend out and let it stand on a flat surface. Like the title says if you spend extra most of that will be sunk into the body of the product, it's not going to get you better signal necessarily. This antenna takes all signal types and worked really well (first scan with it got me 32 channels). But to return to price, because it is so cheap, it does not feel super hefty or anything. It's pretty light and plastic feeling.
Other than that, which is such a minute problem, I was super happy with it. BUY!
