Outstanding image quality! June 21, 2010 Jacobo Rojsen This is the greatest antenna I ever install. The signal kept locked under severe thunderstorms!
Save your money. June 17, 2010 Joann Thomas (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Even though we lived in a low signal area, we have been using a $40 antennas for over a year, but a power surge took that out. We thought we would try an antenna specifically designed for a low signal area, but this would failed to bring the results it was advertised to bring.
Attic Mount 35 Miles from Broadcast June 17, 2010 C. Sully (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only hurdle I ran into with this antenna was assembly. The instructions made it a little difficult to figure out which way the two halves needed to be positioned (what was top and what was bottom)when attaching them together. Other than that, this has been a gem of a product. I mounted it in my attic and simply guessed at the positioning. Installation took 5 minutes and I was off to the races. Paired with my new TiVo Premiere unit (which others have criticized for bad reception) I was getting 94-98% strengths on all of the major, local channels. My house is approximately 35 miles from the HD Broadcast towers (I live in Cypress, TX) and haven't lost a second of television. I highly recommend this antenna.
Incredible antenna May 23, 2010 J. Stooks (Purcellville, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my boat, put it inside a fiberglass shroud and the reception is amazing. When swinging at anchor, reception is nearly flawless regardless of antenna direction. Receiving 13 stations with perfect reception, no booster, with the transmitters around 20 miles away.
If you can assemble this, it should work beautifully. May 23, 2010 J. R. Miller (North Carolina) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this antenna because I wanted to pick up stations that are 50 to 60 miles distant. So many others have commented on the difficult assembly. The manual is awkwardly diagrammed. So, I read the assembly instructions, and noted that there is an easier way to insert the long center bolts first. From there everything was incredibly simple.
I then wanted to break another rule. I wanted to first try this antenna in my attic. Just to eliminate the hassle of maintaining an outdoor weather, exposed antenna and mast. Knowing that I could loose 35 to 45% of signal, I set up the antenna with a preamp in the attic.
The pictures are drop dead gorgeous. The signal strength is near perfection. In my opinion, if you can get over the initial assembly bump, this product gives outstanding value.
