Product Description This converter box comes with an on screen program guide that provides show times and descriptions. This TV converter box also comes with scan for all channel tuning and adjustable closed captioning. Te key feature on this digital TV converter box is that it does come with analog pass-through. This means that you will still be able to pick up lower power analog television stations.

LOVE IT February 8, 2010 Lykendra Davis (MIAMI) GREAT PRODUCT ONCE I REALIZED THAT A ANTENNA WAS REQUIRED. WILL ORDER A 2ND ONE FOR MY KIDS ROOM. IT WORKS GREAT AND IM RECIEVING ALOT OF CHANNELS.
great product February 7, 2010 A. Chow We got rid of our cable and this converter works great with perfect reception on pretty well all the available channel. The user interface is very easy to use and set up is a breeze. One thing is to make sure to use the supplied coaxe cable because I used a generic cable and the picture quality got real bad and I thought it was a reception problem until I realized it was the cable. Overall, it was great the government did the digital switch over because the picture quality of over the air broadcast is greatly improved.
Outstanding Product February 6, 2010 Karl Melow (Michigan, USA) I bought two other brand Digital to Analog converters before buying this product. I wish I had known about this converter first so I wouldn't have wasted my money on the others.
Does the job February 5, 2010 george It works really well. I get a good picture. I use it with a basic rabit ear/loop antenna ($10). The only negatives is that I have to turn on/off the converter box and TV with seperate remotes, this is a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, the picture is great and the box works really reliably. I've had it for 1 month now. I would recomend this box as a cheap basic` cable tv alternative. Picture is just as good as my cable signal.
CRAP February 5, 2010 D. Garcia (Los Angeles) Normally I wouldn't give a review like this. The box works but...
THE SOFTWARE AND DIRECTIONS SUCK!
1) The display that shows you the signal strength pops up when you don't want it, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU SWITCH CHANNELS and stays on too long, but not long enough to be usable. When you WANT it on it turns off by itself before it's usable. It turns itself off before you it completely reads the strength of the signal!!! Duh! So you have to keep turning it on.
2) The directions for how to delete channels forgot one step!!! Without that step you can't delete the channels. The directions say hit the "4" button but they forgot to tell us you have to hit the "1" button and log in first to enable the delete feature.
3) The manual scan will scan channels you don't want to scan but won't scan channels you do want to scan. So when you are trying to figure out which direction to point your antenna you have to scan EVERY channel each time you move it. If you need to delete a lot of channels like I do (I'm on the Mexican border) you have to laboriously delete them numerous times.
4) Still can't figure out how to enable favorites. And it's not like I'm a software slouch. I know how to use dozens of complicated software apps. I'm Mac PC and Linux literate.
5) As others mentioned the remote build quality is Cracker Jack toy quality.
JUNK.
