Product Description Mediabridge Premium 6ft VGA to RGB Component video cable for use with monitors or projectors. Connects PC or laptop to LCD projector, HDTV, and other Y / Pr / Pb component RGB display systems. Mediabridges 14 pin VGA connector eliminates the unnecessary 15th pin; which in all VGA connectors is a dummy pin and has "No Connection". Eliminating this pin, allows the connector to be backward compatible with older VGA ports while still having all of the latest VGA technology. Your display system must support component video (Y, Pr, Pb) signal output function in order for the image to display properly. The "TV-out" feature on video cards is required; please check your video card output specifications for compatibility.

| Customer Reviews: Why buy this? May 24, 2010 Michael A. Bogues (Novi, MI United States) The Product it self is very nice, it just has a great quality feel to it. But I bought this to go from my PC to a projector. My mistake that most (if not all) video cards cannot convert to the the proper setting(size and hz). It would be nice to have a warnning on the product to check for settings on you tv/projecter.
Please make sure you tv/projecter can handel the output, most cannot.
~Mike
Did not work going from VGA output to component input March 25, 2010 Mel Lamelas (New York, NY United States) I connected the cable to the vga output of two different notebooks and connected the other end to the component input of a TV, and in neither case did the TV display the notebook screen. I did switch the output on the notebooks to the external VGA connector. It may be that this cable works one way only, from component output to VGA input, rather than both ways.
Cable works with very few products. March 24, 2010 U. Casas (Germantown, MD United States) I wanted to give this item a thorough review, since the two other reviews I read were very brief and not helpful. The cable's appearance is not bad. When you open the package the cable doesn't look like junk. However the cable did not work for the purpose I bought it for. But I wanted to see if the cable worked at all. I tried it out with a number of different televisions, computers, monitors, and dvd players. The cable failed to give a good picture with every combination I tried. My friends were good sports for letting try the cable with their stuff. The cable sort of worked once with an LG monitor and a dvd player. But the picture was completely green. I contacted the seller to let them know I will be writing a bad review. Their response was that the cable would work great if I had the correct computer to television combination. Well they should add the names of the devices the cable would work with, since it is obviously very few.
not for pc to tv! February 14, 2010 James R. Mills The description on this seemed to suggest that it would work with a pc to hdtv connection, not so.
I do have to say it appears like a quality made product but of course, I have no way to test its performance.
Didn't work December 17, 2009 T. Bookharat I got this cable, plugged it in, and it didn't work. Tried on other computers/TVs and still didn't work. How can a simple cable not work? Somehow they figured out a way.
