I purchased this item about 3 weeks ago from Fry's (good thing because I can return it). I just finally got a chance to test it out and it didnt work. I have an outdoor antenna connected to it and no matter how much I move the antenna the built in power meter (a nice feature) still displays "0" power.
I decided to call support (they only work from 9am to 5pm) from work (meaning I dont have access to the unit if any troubleshooting needs to be done). The wait time was 30 minutes and the "tech support specialist" informed me that he couldnt help me with this type of issue and that I should call again tomorrow! Unbelievable.
I sent an email to their support and let's see what they will answer. They have up until tomorrow afternoon to provide me some real assistance or this item is going back to the store.
Pure junk. And junk support. Expecting people to be home from 9am to 5pm on weekdays is just ridiculous.

this box was one of the "better" more expensive boxes out there. it's small, very responsive, remote controls tv and the box. less than a year later two of my channels disappeared. tried a different box and the channels appeared again. owned four other brands and this never happened before with any of them. dsp7700p is a POS.
Two have died since purchaseMay 24, 2010 N. L. Ricker(Seattle, WA USA) I bought two of these from Radio Shack using coupons when analog disappeared. One died several months ago and the other died last week. I was satisfied while they were working but am disappointed with the robustness of these units. (They weren't abused.)
Broken right out of the box and can't return.May 12, 2010 D. Andre This piece of junk locks up on the setup screen and won't let me see any channels. Amazon also won't let me return it. STAY AWAY from this company! I bought a Tivax and it works just fine.
Total failureApril 26, 2010 Ronald E. York Out of the box, machine would not work. Locks up on first screen of setup menu and won't advance. Remote control does not work. Even the power on/off button does not work. Email to Amazon requesting a refund or replacement went unanswered.
