Nice! July 28, 2010 XD My first digitalstream converter was a POS. I bought this one based on good reviews, as most converters seem to be poorly made. The tuner is more sensitive on this unit, and I get better reception on more channels. It was easy to set up. The only thing that I miss is the old EPG feature. The EPG on this item is serviceable, but only shows scheduling for one hour in advance.
Insignia Converter February 1, 2010 T. Shank (Houston) This was a used item but works great. Far exceeded the poor converter I originally purchased. No complaints here.
Product Broke After One Year November 10, 2009 A. Thude We have had this HD converter box for a year now. After only about three months, one button on the remote had completely stopped working...we had not been dropping the remote either. Now, after only one year, our Insignia HD converter box is not working at all and we are having to replace it.
I feel that if a gently used product will not last longer than a year, it must be either poorly constructed or designed and will ultimately be a waste of money.
WORKS WELL September 26, 2009 RMW (wash) This convert works better than any of the other ones I have purchased. Easy to set up and use.
The best so far! September 20, 2009 J. Gonzalez (Oakland, CA) We went with a cheaper model to begin with and got nowhere. I looked at other reviews on Amazon about this model and took a chance and I am really happy that I did! We get over 50 channels all crisp and clear with the help of an amplified antenna (also bought on Amazon) and we are good to go. We love that we don't have to pay for basic cable for a variety of channels that look great! I highly recommend this converter box to anyone and it might also help for you to use it with an amplified antenna.
