| Customer Reviews: OK, but not for VHF fringe area (35 miles low elevation) March 18, 2010 Quality Is 4 Me (Cleveland, OH USA) The unit is compact and easy to assemble. The front end is a little heavier than the back so it isn't exactly weight balanced on the pole, but tightening the brackets brought it level. I am 35 miles from the TV stations. One broadcasts its High Definition on a VHF signal of channel 10, even though the station is called 19 from its former frequency. The VHF channel comes and goes. I am in a lower area near Lake Erie so the signals are weaker. When aiming the antenna there is a narrow range to pick up the VHF station (about 15 degrees), and then it comes and goes depending on weather, etc. I will have to purchase a more powerful antenna for VHF signals. All HD UHF stations came in fine, and I picked up some Canadian UHF (non-HD) stations as well, although fuzzy. I used Windgard's most powerful preamplifier with this setup(AP-8275). My old larger Radio Shack VHF had worked fine.

Antenna was easy to assemble and install. Signal strength was 25% better than our old antenna.
Good for blocking by trees to TX stations in north chicago September 26, 2009 D. Jeong (Skokie,IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My house is located at 13 miles north from Chicago TX stations in downtown.
Several big trees are blocking the line of sight from the right front of my antenna on chimney.
At first,I tried with an antenna Mod# DB4 due to its small size, but it gave me frequent dropping signals out on most channels I could get and no VHF high channels(CH2,CH7).
Therefore, I chose this antenna(Mod# CM-2020) which has strong directional and gain on UHF and high VHF channels. This antenna works perfectly for me except snowy of CH41(analog signal), even though its very long antenna.
