| Customer Reviews: didn't work after trying several directions July 19, 2010 Polkboy (CA USA) I know this is "omni-directional" but I am very disappointed with this antenna. I live in the city and the towers are around 25 miles from my home. I put it on top of the roof (where my original Dish Satellite was placed). It failed to give any signal to my TV. I could see just one channel and that also was so blurry and fazy that I could not figure out the face of the person walking in the show.
Finally, I removed it from the top and tried to point it to every direction (from inside of the living room). It did not work.
I hate the business of re-packing the stuff and ship it back to the seller. Perhaps, it's only my area but my expectations were very high from this antenna.
Outdoor antenna June 7, 2010 Bessie B. Wheeler (PASADENA, MARYLAND, US) This is a great product. We are not big TV watchers and only had basic cable channels. This antenna picks up all local stations in our area, that all we need and is cheapper than cable.
Worth the money June 4, 2010 Glad to be free of cable (Carlisle, PA) After buying other antennas (and returning them) I must admit I was cautious about this one. I live near the mountains in a semi-rural location and some of the major broadcast stations are over 50 miles away. It was therefore a nice surprise that when I hooked this one up, not only did I get all the network stations, I got them from indoors just by putting the antenna on my living room windowsill. That's where it's been ever since, and even though the picture breaks up from time to time (bad storm, clouds, etc.) the overall clear picture and wide range are worth it. I get all the digital broadcast channels for my area, but I'm sure if it were outside, I'd receive even more. It's well worth the money, especially since Best Buy sells it for 119.99.
Not my first choice September 12, 2009 Steven Garland 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
The antenna worked. I thought it could replace a very large conventional TV antenna. The flat antenna allowed me to receive 20 channels, the other 32.
For the Price?, RG59 on the low noise, no db rated amp! September 11, 2009 J. Brown (Central Ill.) 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was happy with the over all design of the antenna. However: the instructions clearly call for RG6 to be connected to the antenna. The problem arises if there is a need for the amp (in my area, there is such a need).Attempting to attach an amp, I found it was not DB rated and there was RG59 coming out of the tv input side of the amp. (For the folks that don't understand the difference, RG59 is about half the diameter size of RG6, and obsolete for communications purposes.)
