Awesome antenna for twenty bucks. August 30, 2010 A.E. (Chicago, IL) I am using this antenna (with the amplifier) on the third story of an apt complex in Chicago and receive all the major broadcast channels perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the picture. Signal breakups occur but are minimal.
It works as well as better rated options August 29, 2010 Felipe Korzenny (Tallahassee, Florida, United States) I had purchased a Audiovox Terk HDTVa Amplified HDTV Antenna and it worked well. Then I tried to buy another one but Amazon had raised the price (at least for me), so I started looking around and found this RCA amplified antenna. I am about 30 miles or more from transmitters in a wooded area and I get the same channels as with the Terk antenna. I get about 12 digital channels depending on the weather. Not bad for my needs. I cannot get any more channels over air with any other device.
Discrete appearance and works awesome August 20, 2010 Ghostly Shopper First I should say that I am in the densely populated DC area and it has lots of strong signals. This antenna is awesome! It's about the size of a small magazine and I have it hidden behind a couch. I love getting the HD broadcasts and in my area there's actually 40 some channels to get. I had no idea there was so much being broadcasted. The image quality is much better than the analog cable signals I've lived with for so long. I wish I had switched sooner. I've actually canceled my cable since it was soo much money, but now I don't even feel bad about it with all the great quality HD channels I get. Granted you don't get the cable only channels, but so much of that is on the net now I'm not even bothering with cable anymore.
I don't know how this antenna would function in remote areas, but if you're in/near a city this thing will work great. I'm extremely happy with it.
waste of money August 4, 2010 bookworm412 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
i live in bergen county (north jersey) and reception is terrible! i only get channels four, five, and nine...:(...and sometimes it goes blank for a sec or two!! i think it really depends on the area in which you live in so it's a gamble..
Just Doesn't Work July 30, 2010 Sadie (Houston, TX) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for something to replace my ugly bunny ears and hopefully improve my signal strength so I can get more channels consistently.
This antenna is very attractive and compact, but it is absolutely useless. I get fewer channels and worse reception than with my 10$ bunny ears that I got from Target 5 years ago.
This antenna is going to get returned and I am going to try a different one.
