This is by far the worse antenna for Digital TV signals ever!!! I am going to return this piece of _______!! I could make a better antenna!!
I can receive hardly any digital channels. The cheap Radio Shack antennas that I purchased in the past were MUCH better!!!
Initially I thought there was something wrong with my RG6 cable, but I tried 2 other RG6 cables and all the same!! I cannot believe how BAD this antenna performs. What a piece of garbage.
Atennas Direct CS2 July 22, 2010 Kyle Richards Great antenna! The instructions are very poorly writted; however, the atenna gets great reception. I am in the Ft Worth, TX area so the broadcast towers are about 35 miles from me. There are a lot of trees and buildings between me and the broadcast towers, but the tv picture from this antenna is remarable. I received 42 channels even before mounting the antenna to the roof. Best HDTV indoor antenna I'd ever own. July 13, 2010 Q. Chau Purchased a couple of indoor antenna range from $30 to $50 and all failed to have a stable signal and less channel. Got this product not from Amazon but Frys which included the indoor base. Test it out next to my HDTV and it worked great. Then I decided to place it up in my attic and now it works even better. I've gotten it hooked up to a splitter with 3 output and all HDTV looks great with strong signal. All I have to say is this product is AWESOME. I would recommend it to anyone. Just remember to point in the right direction. Used [...] which was a link included with the product.
So Far So Good. July 12, 2010 Anand Gopalan (Fremont, Ca United States) I wanted to get an antenna to get rid of my cable TV, I was told external antenna was the best option. I recently stopped by a electronic store recently, they had a indoor/outdoor version of it with 50+ miles range. The sales representative assured me this one had least amount of returns. I was worried about the price $99, considering the cable cost, this unit will pay for itself over the period of time and unit had option for indoor and outdoor installation. Before purchasing I checked the review on Amazon and most of the were good. Thanks to everyone, who put the reviews up.
I live in Union City, CA which is 25 miles from San Francisco TV station. I purchased the antenna, first installed indoor, all the channels showed up except ABC. Then I took it outside and ABC started working. The problem installing outside, but the antenna coax cable could not be combined with my internet comcast cable. So I got the antenna back in now, this time I kept the antenna close to window in a certain angle and tad-ah, ABC channel got picked and I got to view the soccer world cup again. Right now I am getting more than 25 channels and all the important channels we see. This company also has a 100+ miles version for people who live far from the city. Check antennaweb.org to find out how far you are from the tv station and decide.
DTV clarity is amazing, no one can tell the content is delivered using antenna. I am happy I made the right choice.
Excellent Antenna June 30, 2010 llhelix I live in LA about 31-32 miles away from the broadcasting towers so this antenna's rating of 50 miles fit the bill. Set up was extremely simple. There was an existing DirecTV mount from the previous renters so I just dismantled the dish portion and used the mount for this antenna. After setting up and doing a few minor angle tweaks, signal was perfect. The high def picture was surprisingly awesome.
